The Strong Catholic Families-Strong Catholic Youth Initiative seeks to engage parents more fully in
the life and mission of the parish by motivating them to be more active leaders of faith in the home.  We believe that there are at least 5 factors that contribute to a successful launch and growth of this initiative at the parish level.  You can assess your parish with the following Assessment Form

Books to assist parents with Teenagers and Holiness at Home:

    Raising Happy, Healthy, and Holy Teenagers: A Primer for Parents, Robert J. McCarty, NFCYM, 2009.  This book is full of practical strategies to help parents better raise their adolescent children.  This book is $10.00 and we have them in stock!

    

    Strengthening Your Family: A Catholic Approach to Holiness at Home, Marge Fenelon, Our Sunday Visitor Publishing Division, 2011.  A Mothers perspective on raising a family.  Reflection questions at the end of each chapter.

    

The USAA Educational Foundation offers many great and short booklets that are also Free!  A few of the titles include:

  • Parenting A Teen
  • Family Values: Building A Legacy
  • Balancing Family and Career
